Australian and English Style Trifle recipe

1 sponge cake, crumbled
1 can of drained fruit cocktail
2 tablespoons of custard powder
5 teaspoons of white granulated sugar
½ cup of milk
1 pack of gelatin mix, port wine flavored.
Directions:
You are going to take out your glass serving bowl and then place the cake in to the bottom of it. Pour the fruit cocktail in to the top of the cake. Make your gelatin by following the directions which are printed on the box. Once your gelatin is prepared, pour it directly on to the fruit cocktail and cake. Mix your custard powder and sugar over medium heat in a small sized pan. Then you will stir in your milk and continue cooking until you notice that it is a thick and creamy texture. Pour the creamy mixture over the cake and other ingredients. Now you are going to place the trifle in to your refrigerator for it to chill for about 6 to 8 hours. When you serve this dessert to your family, none of you will believe how great it tastes. This is the perfect dessert to enjoy with just about any type of meal.
